A Friendly Meet with Karachi Grammar School

On 16th and 17th June, we had the honour of participating in a friendly athletics match between Karachi Grammar School (KGS) from Pakistan and our very own Kawan Athletics.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the organisers, MMJ.Sports-Events, for inviting us to this meaningful event. Established in 1847, KGS is one of Pakistan’s most well-known schools, with a strong presence in both academics and sports.

For many of our athletes, this friendly meet came at just the right time. Those who didn't qualify for MSSD (district-level competition) rarely get the chance to compete around this period, and opportunities like this are hard to come by. For beginners who are taking part in MSSD but may not make it past the first round or semifinals, this event gave them valuable race experience, and more importantly, a confidence boost.

A special shoutout goes to Runnoz Sports and the volunteers who ensured the event ran smoothly with their electronic timing system. The electronic timing system ensured accurate and timely results, helping the event run smoothly and professionally. We’re thankful for their role in helping raise the standard of local athletics meets while keeping it affordable.
