FAQ

  • When are your training days and what is the duration of each session?
The duration of each session depends on the workout of that day. Minimum training is 1 hour, and the maximum duration of a session is 2 hours.
  • I'm not sure what age group is my kid..
We will categorise your kids to their age group according to their YEAR of birth. For example: Anyone born in the year 2010 will be in the 12y/o category in 2022 regardless of their birth month and date. Likewise, 2009 kids will be in the 13y/o category in 2022. If your kid is turning 13 in 2022, then he/she does not fall under U12 category and should purchase Athletics Development/Athletics Performance.
  • I am interested in joining the training but I've never done any athletics training before, can I still join?
Yes, we welcome beginners to track regardless of any level of skill or fitness. You will be split according to your ability and will be in a group that is suitable to your level.
  • What kind of training do you do?

  • What is the minimum age?
Our program is suitable for students from the age of 7. However, in order to keep the training experience the best it can be for everyone, we would observe younger kids on their first two training sessions to see if they are ready to train in group as they may have a shorter attention span and may have trouble following instructions. If the kid is not ready for group classes, then we'd recommend them to start with a few private sessions until they are ready to join the group training.
  • Do you offer one-to-one training?
We offer one-on-one running/racewalking coaching and personal training. If you are interested in learning about personal or group training, please go to Private Training tab for more info.
  • Can I walk-in, or do I have to be a member?
Yes, please feel free to join us anytime. However, the walk-in fee varies and you will need to bear the full cost of all the competition registration fees when participating in any competition. You will benefit in many ways by becoming an active member.
  • Can I visit for a try out before joining?
If you're not sure if we're the right club for you, we offer a walk-in at a fee for anyone to try out and decide for themselves before joining.
  • What should I wear and bring to training?
An appropriate athletic attire. Sport shoes, a small training journal with a pen, and a WATCH to take your rest time. Do bring hand sanitizer, extra masks, water bottle, towel, and training mat (most warm-up exercises require you to lie down on the floor). Tight-fitting shirts showing any part of an athlete's midriff are not allowed.
  • What should I take note on my first training?
It is the parents' responsibility to inform coaches of any medical issues or past injuries of their child before the training starts.
  • Can I train without spike shoes?
Not all training is done at the stadium/track, thus, spike shoes are not compulsory. Also, there is no need to purchase spikes to run on the track for beginners in the first 3 months of their training. Late comers cause disruptions to our training sessions. These disruptions not only affect the flow of the training and impact the experience of other members but pose an increased risk of injury for latecomers who miss out on proper warm-up.
  • What if I am late for training?
Late Arrival Policy: Members are required to arrive on time. Entry will not be permitted for arrivals beyond the first 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. We would like to emphasize that even latecomers within the 10-minute grace period will not be allowed to join the training if they are frequent latecomers. Under our late arrival policy, particularly Kids Athletics A and newcomers, are expected to arrive on time for their training sessions. It is especially important for them as they learn and participate in warm-up moves alongside the group. Arriving late significantly hinders their progress and disrupts the warm-up routines for other students. Therefore, we kindly request that parents ensure their children arrive on time to avoid missing out on these important warm-up activities.
