- 01The duration of each session depends on the workout of that day. Minimum training is 1 hour, and the maximum duration of a session is 2 hours. - 02We categorise children based on their year of birth (not the exact birthdate). Example: • Born in 2010 → 12 y/o category in 2022. • Born in 2009 → 13 y/o category in 2022. Program Guide: • KinderJumpStart: Ages 5–8 • Kids' Athletics A & B: Ages 9–12 (U12) • Athletics Development: For children turning 13 in 2022 and above This follows standard age group rules used in competitions and training groups.
- 03Absolutely, we welcome participants of all skill levels and fitness backgrounds. You will be grouped according to your ability to ensure you're in a suitable and comfortable training environment.
- 04Basic motor skills for early age, basic running techniques, kids' athletics, sprint & hurdles, race-walking, middle long distance , strength & fitness training, athletics clinic, team-building, online fitness training.
- 05Our programs are designed for these age groups: • KinderJumpStart (KJS): Ages 5–8 • Kids' Athletics A & B: Ages 9–12 • Athletics Development: Ages 13 and above For younger children, we will observe your child during their first sessions to ensure they are ready to join group training. If they need more time to adjust, we may recommend starting with a few private sessions before moving into the group. Please press the relevant tab to read more about KJS and Athletics programs.
- 06We offer one-on-one running/racewalking coaching and personal training. If you are interested in learning about personal or group training, please go to Private Training tab for more info.
- 07Yes, please feel free to join us anytime. However, the walk-in fee varies and you will need to bear the full cost of all the competition registration fees when participating in any competition. You will benefit in many ways by becoming an active member.
- 08If you're not sure if we're the right club for you, we offer a walk-in at a fee for anyone to try out and decide for themselves before joining. You can purchase the walk-in token here.(https://www.kawanathletics.com/pricing)
- 09An appropriate athletic attire. Sport shoes, a small training journal with a pen, and a WATCH to take your rest time. Do bring hand sanitizer, extra masks, water bottle, towel, and training mat (most warm-up exercises require you to lie down on the floor). Tight-fitting shirts showing any part of an athlete's midriff are not allowed.
- 10It is the parents' responsibility to inform coaches of any medical issues or past injuries of their child before the training starts.
- 11Not all training is done at the stadium/track, thus, spike shoes are not compulsory. Also, there is no need to purchase spikes to run on the track for beginners in the first 3 months of their training. It's not recommended to buy a fancy pair of spike shoes until you know what you're looking for and you should discuss with the coach before buying them.
- 12We have club official kit that can be purchased (e.g. tracksuit, vest & etc). These are required when you are representing Kawan Athletics and competing in competitions and events. - 13Yes, we have football, tennis and cricket players in our family, some are here for speed and agility, some are here for coordination and flexibility. Just let us know what you'd like to focus on more, and we will design the training that's suitable for you.
- 14All announcements related to training (change of venue & time, cancellation of training, competition & etc) will be posted on the mobile app. We strongly recommend that you download the mobile app to receive the latest update. Besides, the app allows you to book sessions, view and buy the monthly plan, and search for available sessions. You can also track and manage booked sessions on the app. Please read Online App & Booking Classses faq to know more or for download.

6th Kawan Athletics Championship & Our First Awards Night
One big Kawan weekend: our 6th Kawan Athletics Championship brought together schools, clubs and families for new records, Milo, and a gloriously chaotic Mix & Match Fun Relay (yes, with chairs and mops as batons). The next day, our first Awards Night shifted from timings to stories, speeches, hidden talents and heartfelt thanks to the people who keep Kawan moving.
